July in DC – hot, humid, and sweaty….luckily the real estate market is keeping pace with the weather. Year to Date sales are up 21.8% for condos/coops and up 29.3% for single family homes/rowhouses. Average sales prices for condos/coops is the highest it’s been over the past 5 years, while single family/rowhouses is basically at the same level as last year. Here’s the breakdown:

Inventory: Down 2.4% YTD from 2009
# of Sales: Up 21.8% YTD from 2009
Single Family/Rowhouses/Townhouses
Average Sale Price: $550,986
Inventory: Down 9.6% YTD from 2009
# of Sales: Up 29.3% YTD from 2009
