Arlington Restaurant Spotlight: Rays to the Third

Thanks to the article on Arlnow.com about the opening of Ray’s to the Third, we were able to try the new restaurant on Saturday night.

I left my blackberry in the car so I wasn’t unable to take pictures of the food, but check out the pictures ArlNow.com has on their blog.

Overall, it’s much like the other restaurants: plain, nothing fancy, simple but good food.

Some favorites from Ray’s the Steak made the menu: Crab Bisque, Deviled Eggs

But beware, I ordered the Filet with Mushrooms in a truffle cream sauce thinking it would be like the one from Ray’s the Steaks, but they’re different…as i’m sure most of the other steaks are.

The menu features a short wine and beer list, along with milkshakes.

Each (steak) entree is served with fries topped with a generous helping of salt and old bay, a small side salad, and a large piece of a baguette.

You’ll see nothing but a paper “Now Open” sign on the glass doors, along with a flatboard Coke sign that says Ray’s to the Third now open. It’s located across the street from Ray’s Hellburger at 1650 Wilson Blvd, Arlington. They validate parking at the North Pierce Garage in case you can’t find any meter/street parking.
