Your January Arlington Real Estate Market update: pandemonium. Fear of increased interest rates, low inventory, and the typical seasonal activity is leading to chaos in the market. Sales are happening lightening fast (30% sold in under 10 days), more homes are selling, active inventory is down, bidding wars, waived contingencies, etc. Reminiscent of a time nobody wants to remember, frankly. Days on the market fell to 57, units sold in January were 158 (up 10%). Average price was down 3% from 2016, but I don’t expect that to continue into the Spring.
