Real Estate Market in Arlington for April: Prices Up Another 3%

In April, we reported that March sales indicated prices were up nearly 17% from 2009. Well, looks like April numbers show an increase of 3% over last year. As a whole, Arlington County days on the market was 35% lower than April 2009, and median sale price was up 3% from last year. As a county, the year to date average sale price is up 3.6%. In April, 265 properties were sold, of which 12 were short sales and 12 were bank-owned properties, making 12.1% of the closed sales “distressed properties.”
