Thanks for the tip from Under One Roof, Habitat For Humanity of Northern Virginia is building in Arlington again after 10 years. The last project in Arlington was a tow of 8 duplexes located at S Kenmore/S Glebe Road in 2000. The new project by the Habitat for Humanity of Northern VA named Perry Hall CondosĀ is located at South Glebe Rd and 17th St South in Arlington, where they’re converting an old apartment building to 12 new condominiums for low to moderate income families.
A long-time sponsor, Capital One Bank, not only helped with some financing for the project, they also volunteered time to help build, and teach the future owners on how to build credit, maintain it, and check their credit reports. See pictures of the construction site on their Flickr page.

The goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty and homelessness, and help build adequate and basic housing for everyone nationwide.
