In 2010, the county adopted a real estate tax increase to 95.8 cents per $100 assessed value. The proposed budget for 2011 (calendar year) has a 1 cent increase to 96.8 (inclusive of the stormwater sanitary district tax).
To calculate how this will change your 2011 property taxes, first look up your 2011 Tax Assessment, then:
(Tax Value) / 100 = X * .958 = 2011 Proposed Tax Bill
Arlington typically adopts the county budget in April, but until then, you can attend one of their public hearing on the proposed budget:
- March 22 – Public hearing for the FY 2012 budget
- March 24 – Public hearing on tax rates and fees
Both public hearings will begin at 7 p.m. in the County Board Room, 2100 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington, VA.
