2014 FHA Loan Limits for the DC Metro Area
FHA loans make up a very small percentage of financing in the Arlington area lately. In October, only 3% of all sales were funded using an FHA loan. FHA has changed their rules so that monthly PMI never goes away AND they hiked their monthly mortgage insurance premiums up, which makes them pretty unappealing to almost everyone who can afford NOT to use one.
Current maximum loan limits for the DC Metro/Northern Virginia/Montgomery County area is $725,500.
As of January 1, 2014, the new maximum loan limit will be $625,500
