The Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) offers several programs to help prospective buyers (and not just in Arlington County).
The down payment assistance program is a GRANT with no repayment of 3-3.5% of the sale price to be used toward a down payment on a property. There are several other requirements to qualify:
Max Household Income With 2 or Less People: $97.520
Max Household Income with 3 or More People: $113,840
Max Sale Price: $500,000
