My 3 year old is obsessed with holiday lights – doesn’t matter if it’s a huge display or just a single strand, he loves every bit of it. In case you have a holiday light lover to entertain, here’s a list of some of the best holiday lights in Arlington and other surrounding areas:

  • Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights – Where: Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, Vienna, VA – When: Nov. 13 – Jan. 3 between 5:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. – Cost: Weekdays: Ages 13 and Older: $12, Ages 3-12: $7, Under 2: Free – Weekends & Holidays: Add $1 per Ticket (Nov. 26 & 27, Dec. 24, 25, 31, Jan. 1) Make sure to buy your tickets online before attending
  • The City of Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival – Where: Seneca Creek State Park – When: Nov. 27 – Dec. 31 (Closed Dec. 25) – Sunday – Thursday between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. – Friday & Saturday between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. – Cost: Monday – Thursday: $12 – Friday – Sunday: $15
  • Prince George’s County Festival of Lights – Where: Watkins Regional Park – 301 Watkins Park Dr Upper Marlboro, MD – When: Nov. 27 – Jan. 1 between 5:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. – Cost: $5 per car (cash only)
  • 38th Annual Festival of Lights – Where: D.C. Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – 9900 Stoneybrook Dr Kensington, Maryland 20895 – When: Dec. 3 – Dec. 31 between Dusk and 10:00 p.m. – Cost: Free. Artists and Groups will be performing every night between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Free Tickets for Concert are handed out at Visitors Center 60 minutes before on a first come, first served basis.
