We’re almost half-way through 2009 (can you believe it’s Mid-May!?) So it’s about time for a Clarendon construction projects update on new buildings throughout Arlington. Here’s the update for Clarendon:
Clarendon Center
The retail, office, and 244 rental residential units and 471 parking spaces being built on within the corners of Clarendon Blvd, Garfield St, Highland St, and 11th St is still under construction. Original delivery was scheduled for mid-2010, but a recent construction update promises an end of 2010 delivery.
Garfield Park at Clarendon Village
Located on the corner of 10th and Washington, construction on this new mixed-use development has begun. The new building with 141 residential units, 8 live/work units, and combination of office and retail space will take the location of the former Thai Restaurant and CVS (CVS has been relocated across from Eventide Restaurant on Wilson Blvd). Completion is scheduled for 2011.
The Waverly at Clarendon Station
Located on the corner of N 9th St and N Irving (and backing 10th st), this new high rise condominium will have 155 units, and retail space on the ground floor. While construction is moving along daily (as I can hear them from my unit everyday!), completion is expected in early 2011.
